Who is this person, who has no mental capacity to know anything about what is right or wrong. There are much stronger challenges to faith, even on a board like this. There are a lot of dishonest preachers on TV, who just want money, but that shouldn't discredit Christianity as a whole. And God knows what is in the heart of a person, so He would be able to handle the issue you described. I would worry about yourself, since you seem to have capacity to tell right from wrong.

Interesting question from a person who is obviously not a Christian.
The answer to that question is... Yes. I know its hard but all of us are sinners whether we like it or not. The idea that hell isn't real is a lie from the Devil. He wants us to believe its not real, so we have nothing to worry about. But what if it is real? What if reincarnation is the lie? People say that if God is loving then he would bn't send anyone one to hell. Rightly so. Nowhere in the Bible does he say that God sends anyone to hell at all. No Christian will ever find a verse to say otherwise. But That doesn't meanthat people won't go to hell. you see God doesn't send anyone to hell, the bad news is we send ourselves. WHAT HOW CAN THIS BE!!??
The reason for this is that God refuses sin into heaven. He refuses anyone into heaven with sin in their life. The problem is that Romans 3:23 (The Bible) says 'All have sinned...' everyone of us has sinned and we can't go into heaven. The only other alternative is hell. We chose it by keep sinning and nothing we can do is going to stop it coming. No medicine, no religion, no reincarnation, nothing we do will prevent us from the fires of hell. But! Their is a solution. The question is do you want to know what it is?
Contact me if you really want to know.

You have a good question.
I hope that you attend a church, a truly Christian church where the scriptures are interpreted in a right manner.
There are some ministries that give the church a bad name.
There are cults that continue what Jesus warned them, and us against.
Before I form an opinion, I find it best to read the Bible for myself.
When Jesus gave up the ghost, or let us say died, for lack of interpretation at present, the veil of the temple was rent in to, meaning that the holy of holies, where only the high priests woul'd be able to present prayers and offerings to God, was passed down to the lowliest of us.
We are allowed to go to God humbly on our own.
I say humbly, because if we know it all, if we are able to save ourselves, why bother.
God is a merciful God, I am sure that he will make provisions for an innocent that does not know what he is doing, for he said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Actually there is no such place as hell. The word translated means the common grave of mankind. A loving God wouldn't create a place for people to be tormented forever would he?
1 JOHN 4:8
Reincarnation is not in the scriptures either
We should accept & believe in things pertaining to God only if there is scriptural back-up for them - Wouldn't you agree?
Any other decent questions?

Hell is not punishment for sins committed. Hell is for the devil and his followers, and then for men who refuse grace.
There is none righteous, no not one. Jesus is righteous and if we accept him as Lord of our lives, living for Him and not for ourselves, He gives us His righteousness, we are born again and are on the highway to heaven.
Being "mentally challenged" brings a side issue into the matter which we must not confuse with the issue. God is a God of justice. We cannot imagine his justice, or equity for all his created beings. We must trust that He is able to see the heart of the matter.
After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments. Revelation 19:1,2

If you are mentally retarded and do not have the capacity to know right from wrong and if there is a heaven or hell you will not go to hell, but I hope someone who does not know right from wrong is safely behing institution walls -- as they could hurt or perhaps kill some innocent person! Not to mention all the other problems that could result!

God is not a figament of your imagination. People that are mentally challenged don't have the capacity to see what they have done is wrong, God watches over people like this, as He watches over all of us. It sounds like to me that you are being convicted and you are trying to fight it, don't. Repent what you have done and ask Jesus to come into your heart. You would rather go to heaven than hell. All you have to do is have faith and take that leap.

Mentally challenged people can accept Jesus if they are taught right, and this is what counts with God, not what they do, just as it is with us.
If they have accepted Him, repentance for a particular act will only break fellowship, not relationship, just as it is with us.
If they do not attain a mental age past early childhood, they will probably be judged as being their mental age or thereabouts, and will go to heaven. Of course only God knows these things, which He judges on a case-by-case basis.

i often wonder this also
and in the same respect .. if the mentally challenged do not go to hell for not understanding their wrong doings ... this would also go for suicides who i am sure are not in the right frame of mind to make a logical and ethical decision

From he who has been given much, much will be asked. If God gave you the gift of intelligence then he will expect you to use it for the right purposes. If however you lack intelligence your awareness of the consequences of your actions may not be so acute hence the negative karma you create will be less.
