how do U kno if U have ADD or jus space out 2 much....what exactly is ADD...my frinds tell me I act like i have it but i jus dont understand....I jus cant focus for a long period of time b/c lil things can distract me...&& i 4get what i was doin or talkin about after a few minutes...WUTS WRONG WITH ME...HELLP...IM BEIN SERIOUS

Hi, my son has ADD, a neurologist did a few tests on him to help diagnose the condition, it is a hyperactivity in the brain. The smallest things distract him and he has a had time focusing on one certain thing at a time, he has a hard time controlling his toughts and actions. Once on Concerta he is maintaining an A average and doing fabulous. I would definitely ask a parent to take you to see a doctor, Concerta is a drug that will definitely make your life easier and it's only taken once a day. If the condition is not real bothersome and you are doing well in school, then not to worry, most people grow out of this condition and learn how to control it. Good luck to you sweetie! There is an online test you can take, just look up adult ADD on the web. Take the test and print out the results so you can go over it with your doctor. You have some of the symptoms but I'm not a doctor. Also you can ask and see if anyone else in your family has it because it can get passed through the genes in the family. Take the online test before you worry 'bout anything and talk to your doctor.

Well, the first thing to do would be consult your primary care physician, who may refer you to a mental health professional. They will run a series of tests which will...ummm...do something, and man I'm hungry! I wonder if I have anything in the fridge...no...maybe something's on TV, nope ok, gotta go, bye-bye!!

It looks as though, like, you might have, like, ADD using your spelling and typing skills as, like, an indication. ADD is like, called Attention Deficit Disorder, and its like, totally not cool. Its a real, like, bummer. I personally think its, like, a bunch of mumbo jumbo and an excuse to drug kids instead of, like, disciplining them...like, totally.
