DDT is extremely dangerous. What my chemistry teacher used to say was that these things stay even after we die. so biomagnification can occur. it has also been pointed out as a reason for cancer.

Any evidence claiming that DDT is not a threat to wildlife must be viewed in light of the fact that since the ban of DDT many species have recovered. I have heard of a report that plans to reintroduce DDT in limited areas and under strict controls to eradicate mosquitos where all other attempts have failed. However, the same report told of mosquitos that have become resistant to DDT. To spray or not to spray, that is the question.

Bald eagles and other raptors significantly declined during times when DDT was widespread. The ban of DDT and a few decades later, population goes back up. DDT is nasty stuff any way.

yes there is evidence to prove this...the components in ddt bond with the egg shell while it is in the birds body and weaken it to the point where it becomes jello like and the bird crushes it when she incubates it....many aquaphillic bird number dropped drastically due to ddt and the fact that it is still used internationally means just the same...it is only being used because it is so cheap to make and is not hazardous to humans.....*sigh*

Did Obama win this election or am I merely having a night terror? you're precise. we are all loopy. we are all delusional to think of that somebody different than McCain might have won this election. in spite of everything, the financial device replaced into reliable. McCain ran an remarkable marketing campaign. The inventory marketplace replaced into at checklist highs on election day. The media replaced into in the tank for McCain and Palin. McCain replaced into offering "loose stuff".....I mean, who might have been to any extent further powerful than McCain! no person. Our good judgment replaced into fallacious. We lost by using a remarkable fifty two% to 40 8%. Landslide!
