In the bible, after Jesus' childhood, there is no mention of Joseph. It is not said whether he was present at the crucifixion, nor is it made clear if he was alive or dead at the time. So what happened? Any theories?

My gut feeling is that he probably just left after a while once he realized how powerful Jesus was. I mean, it doesn't make sense that he died. Jesus would have brought him back to life, wouldn't he have? He brought back Lazarus, but wouldn't bring back his adoptive Earth father? Makes no sense. Joseph more likely got jealous of the intense bond between Jesus and Mary, and since according to Catholic teaching Mary never let him have sex with her even after Jesus was born, it makes more sense to me that he just left once Jesus was old enough.

The Bible doesn't say how he died or how old he was when he died, Joseph did father some more children after Jesus. I think 2 brothers were named in the Bible and he also had at least 1 sister. (No names)

I don't know, but I do believe IMHO that questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

the Bible doesn't say. we can only imagine that he died sometime after Jesus taught in the temple at age 12.

In other non-Biblical texts he is shown to live out his life as you might expect, as a carpenter. But he died before Jesus was crucified, which is why he doesn't get mentioned as coming to see his step-son. But really, who knows?

Supposedly he died just as Jesus became an adult. However, I have to do some biblical research to verify that.

He may have been dead due to a heart condition or just died naturally.
