yes. by detecting the gene responsible for causing the aging and the death of the cells. we can turn off these genes and thus making is immortal. but if we were to meet with a terrible accident. definitely we would die. impossible to be invincible.

Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering cannot make humans immortal because to become immortal humans need a balanced ecosystem which these branches cannot assure!

biotechnology is the branch which deals with the use of biological agents for benificial purpose. genetic engineering deals with the application of genetics for human welfare. they can just help to increase the lifespan and discovery of new medicines to treat different diseases.they cannot make man immortal.

Well...as of now these braches are still under development and discoveries...but i guess age-reversal can be possible by reversing the entropy . The gene or gene products that cause senesense in human cells , if can be controlled to work with their limits or boundaries which do not cause the breakdown of mechanism of human body. Yes, immortality can be possible.

No, the idea of true immortality is not only unrealistic, but unattractive. Who among us wants to outlive their family, freinds, or children. If it were possible to stop the aging process, or to keep our organs from deteriorating, the risk of mental disease is still great.

immortality is a far-fetched goal of the geniuses of the world, it will take time, and what exactly do we need immortality for....if the place we live in is polluted and toxic that no healthy human being cannot survive anymore...yeah immortal but mutated...that will happen....and one thing more...people get tired when they reach 90...

(with Arnold accent): Yes but save some of your younger cells now by cryogenically freezing them, because as you get older the duplicated genetic material gets more defective (also from numerous replications), best to save genetic information from nuclease when younger

Only by making a clone of yourself, but then...that is not really you.
I think we will see a cap or limit to the number of years a human can survive.

Why should opt for being immortal bodily? we should try to be immortal through our works only.
