Ok, I know anyone that reads this is going to tell me
to get over it, but it isnt that easy. It truly bothers me and
being the way that I am everybody knows it.
My husbands sister use to dog my husbands ex to me
when my husband and I first started dating, but after
we were married and a few years went by the sister and
his ex became friends again. I voiced my opionion to his
sister and her way of handeling it was to not invite us to
her kids parties anymore and invites his ex. This pass weekend was her baby shower that I didnt even know about
and found out from another family member that not only
was I not invited his ex was. My husband tells me that it is
not worth the time to even get mad at. He is not very close
to his family. I am very close to my own though and it saddens me that I'm excluded from some family events because his sister has chosen his ex's friendship over me.
FYI - they have no kids together/ I told her that I felt uncomforable around an ex.

hey,
if your husband doesn't spend too much time at his sister's place without you....then you don't need to worry.....just ignore them....the sis in law knows this will get to your nerves and everytime you get all worked up she probably has a good lol....so ignore her....she is a big BIATCH :0)

I know you don't want to hear this, but it sound like you are not completely over your ex. I've been there and with time you will not care who is friends with him. Maybe if you would just keep your feeling about your ex to yourself then your friends would not feel so uncomfortable about being around the both of you. You shouldn't expect everyone to dislike your ex just because you are divorced. You will get over it in time. Just get through it the best you can and leave your friends out of it. You should not try to tell others who the should or should not like. They see the picture from a whole different angle than you. After all if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you in your life, then you are pretty lucky aren't you?

You have to get on with it, I think your husband if right, work on yourself, and don" get involved in who she invites over her house. and who ever is giving you all the information, just don"t say anything, that way no one can say you said such and such. And when you see your sister-in-law, you be nice, that way you can be the more mature person, don't worry I will bet you she will have more respect for you, O it is going to take time, Don't you waste your energy on her, do the best to be the best Mom and Wife, that should be your main goal.

If you're not invited, your hubby is right. Don't sweat the small stuff! What's up? Are you jealous of his ex? As long as you come across that this insults you and you're hurt, your sister-in-law will keep rubbing it in your face. You're reaction is key here. Don't let her know it bothers you and she'll soon give up the game. AND....I hate to tell you this, but it's not worthe the grief. Save the drama for something really important. Godloveya.

i am in a similar situation when my sister got married i meant her husband's sister at the reception and we got bought a house together and almost got married. now its difficult to be around my own family cuz of everything that happened. i don't know the solution to these types of problems, as i feel my sister's husband is an asshole and knowing how his family and him are i wanna kick the **** out of him evertime i think of him. i just try to worry about my own life these days and i never go to family events. i know it sounds stupid and petty but oh well that's just me. maybe you could try to express yourself to her about how you feel but she sounds like a *****. i'd just write them off, and throw a party and don't invite her.

This has got to be hard. Your SIL is not a very nice person, obviously her family is not very important to her. I don't know what you can do, especially since they are not a close family. Be grateful you have your family....

YOUR NOT CRAZY AT ALL , WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS HAVE A GREAT PARTY OF SOME KIND AND NOT INVITE HER .. DONT LET HER BOTHER YOU GET REVENGE , TREAT HER AS SHE IS TREATING YOU AND LET HER FEEL THE PAIN AS WELL... GOOD LUCK !!!
