When my Labs first start to blow their coat in the spring, I give them a warm bath 3 day in a row. Valla,,,,,,,,, their spring shed is over, and the lawn size garbage bag of hair can go in the trash.
But understand that Labs DO shed a little 24/7, so a frequent brushing makes a big difference

There is not a way to stop the shedding. Labs shed alot more than other dogs. You can reduce shedding by brushing your dog 3-4 times a week this will get some of the hair off before it sheds in your house. Hope this helps.

Central Heating In houses are usually the cause of excess Shedding, My dog shed alot of hair and it was due too intolerances in food , i changed his diet and now the shedding is very minor.

My labs always shed less when we've taken them to the groomers for a spell - their dryer lifts the excess hair out - we then keep on top of it with a good brushing every few days - and lots of rubbing the coat when out on walks!

I think Labs shouldnt be that bad at shedding If its severe take to animal to the vet! But for my lab its healthy and you cant really stop it so I got the Bissel Quick up vaccum its lightweight and skinny and cordless it works great!! You charge it!
