Erm, no.

Child under 12 or 4'5" must have a seat.
Child over 12 or 4'5" doesn't need one.

I think its stupid because why should children over the age of 6 have to sit in a booster seat i think its wrong it would be very embarrassing too if you were an adult and was under the height restrictions would they also have to sit on booster seats? And its costing parents more money i bet the price of booster seats are going to rise so the government can get their share out of it all. its just money money money.

No not at all its all straight forward & about the same as the old one the only new bit is that up 12years a booster seat is now required.

If you have children 4ft 5 inches or they are 12 yrs+ you don`t need the extra.
Also there are exceptions,if you are picking up a child unexpectedly etc.

Not really.

Children over 12 don't need a booster seat.
Children over 135cm/4'5" don't need a booster seat.

All other children do, and it is an offence to carry them without one unless it is an unexpected and rare occurrence in a trip over a short distance.

That last rule is going to be hard to prove or police, though.

its not really ... but then again I'm lucky my 10 year old is 5ft already and my 13 year old is 5ft 3 the only person we joke about was my mother if she had been a little smaller we would need a seat for her she is only 4ft 6 lol

No its about time this came in that children should have their seat belts on at all times but.when i am out in my car i see children in their parents car thy have no seat belts on and jumping about on the back seats

if your child is under 4.5 then yes you have to falk out like me and buy a car seat

not at all! but does the law also include adultss who are under the hight restriction too!!
my husband is soooo short he cant see over the dash board!
