We have just moved to a new house have a porched now and 4 step stair to get into the house. When he goes out to go potty, he gets tangled below the steps, around the pole, he'll get tangled under the steps then after the pole and so forth... What else can I use so this doesn't happen?

Buy and set up a dog run so the poor thing doesn't have to be leashed.

Does your porch have a gate around the whole house?....if not then you should go and get one because your dog is going to do the same thing over and over again.... the less gaps your dog has the less hes going to get tangle

do you have a gate on your porch as if you do you can just let him go on the porch and he would not get tangled up or make sure that there is nothing in the way where you have his leash at so then he would not get tangled up

Walk him on a leash. A puppy should never be left alone unattended
