I think it is in very bad taste. A fictionalized drama about the assassination of a "generic" president or even a caricature of Bush would be acceptable. But the movie is literally about killing our President, George W Bush.
No matter how much you hate the president (for whatever reason), whether you're a peacenik hippie or a border minuteman or a social security hawk, whatever your beef with the president may be, how could you possibly advocate, support, or be entertained by his execution?
This is just like when Ann Coulter made a tasteless joke about shooting Clinton. No one, not even her conservative base stood by her when she made such an asinine suggestion. To joke about killing the president is one thing, but to make an entire movie about it is downright traitorous. You might as well put on a filthy robe and start shouting "death to America".
Can't conservatives and liberals agree that such a premise is entirely opposed to the concepts of American law, justice, morality?
