motor vehicle industry,shipbuilding,railway technology,coal mining,steel-production,oil and gas industries,apart from that lot it,s not too bad.oh...i nearly forgot......building domes and national football stadiums.

It is my opinion that England is almost top of the class in nearly all fields of engineering. The trouble is we seem to fall apart when putting our expertise and knowledge into practise. Maybe it is a lack of investment, as many countries copy our ideas and make a very good job of them.
