Try oatmeal, eggs, pancakes. There are also some cereals now that are lower in sugar (froot loops for example).

Try a healthy breakfast...fruit, eggs, low-sugar cereals i.e. Cheerios, Kix, Wheaties of any flavor, Chex cereals. Cut up a banana or some other fruit with the cereal is a good way to start out the day. Make sure they have some type of fruit juice too in the morning. Try the occasional frozen breakfasts too, they're not too bad. Oatmeal is good also, if not one of the flavored kinds, then add your own fruit or syrups to it.

Just make sure they eat, breakfast is too important a meal to skip when you're young.

Oatmeal is good. There are some cereals like Kix that are low in sugar. Scrambled eggs would be a good protein breakfast.

Fruit is also a good suggestion. Although fruit does contain sugar, its a natural sugar which doesn't effect the body the same way as gradulated sugar!

my children love cereal with no sugar added, like Kellog's Rice Crispies, or Corn Flakes, or Special K, or Wheetabix.

Over the years we've found that sure, we could go the manufacturers' (nasty) way and buy low-quality cereal with tons of added sugar (added sugar makes for fatter margins for the manufacturers). But the kids natural taste is quite happy with the above, with Special K possibly the favourite (which is interesting, because in theory its target customer is the youg / middle-aged woman seeking to loose weight / keep a low weight).

Hope this helps

Honey I've been diabetic since 1974 not always following my diet but I think I know some good low-sugar foods; I'd recommend a bowl of Quaker Oats Oatmeal! But not the micro-wave kind the kind you have to cook on a stove! That and maybe eggs & toast! Good luck Hun!

Eggs and toast with some low-sugar spreadable fruit is good. Protien, carbs and some fat. My kids have always liked this and it gives them a good start on the school day.

Good old fashioned oatmeal! Drizzle in some low fat milk and you're giving them a headstart on the day! Happy Monday!
