The elders at the Kingdom Hall would have use Hebrew Scriptures and Greek Scriptures, not Old Testament or New Testament.
They also know that Jesus didn't write any portion of the Bible.
All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, reproving and for setting things straight.
As God's Spokesman (The Word) Jesus would have been instrumental in relaying God's word to the prophets and the holy ones, (see Rev. 1:1)
But he didn't write any portion of the Bible.

The whole Bible is the inspired word of God. Men wrote the Bible by Gods direction. None of the books in the Bible have Jesus as the physical writer.

None! The bible has 66 books written by 40 authors. Paul wrote more books of the bible than any other single author.
Saul was a renegade Jew, and the christians changed his name to "Paul". This St. Paul made such a fine mess of the teachings of Jesus(pbuh) that he earned for himself the second most coveted position of " the most influential men in History" in the monemental work of Michael H. Hart the greatest hundred in history. Paul was the real founder of present day christianity. He was not even among the twelve or even thirteen disciples of Jesus.

...No, Jesus didn't write anything as i'm sure you now know...The Bible is God-breathed...in other words, even though many peoply claim that it's not valid or true because it was mere men who wrote it...see Revelation 22, the very last chapter in the Holy Bible, New International Version, read the whole chapter, but from verse 18, pay special attention! ...Without lifting a single pen, Jesus put more pens in motion than any other person in history... Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords.

Jesus thought that Moses wrote the Pentateuch (first five books of the bible). Biblical scholars, including some Christians now accept that he didn't so a problem arises with a divine revelation when the man who fulfills it didn't even know the author of holy scripture.

Jesus wrote all of it and He was considerate enough to write in English. I'm sure He would have got a bigger audience if only He had included some cartoons along with the jokes.
