4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Now where the hell did his wife come from?

Did Cain have a incest with Eve to reproduce?

Adam and Eve had many children. Cain would have married one of his sisters.

If that were true are you telling me the bibble promotes incest among family members?

Adam and Eve had many children (Genesis 5:4). Cain would have married one of his sisters.

RE: your subsequent question, the answer is that, as strange as it may seem, this was God's plan. Incest between siblings was banned much, much later. God told Adam and Even to "be fruitful and multiply." Under your scenario, they would have children, but there would be no perpetuation of humanity after Adam and Eve died. Then, after their children died, humanity would have ceased to exist. This was never God's plan.

Peace.

I think that you have all missed the point. Its all very well saying that incest was a later concept, but the story still says that the children of Adam and Eve procreated. Even though incest, itself, is wrong, there is also the genetic implications. When people with close genetic links reproduce, there are very often birth defects, causing disabilities - whether physical or mental.
So, I think that we can safely say, that whatever the bible says happened is inaccurate.

To jengen,
You're trying to tell us that the deformities didn't happen until the law against incest was brought in? What bloody planet are you on?!

Cain killed able the 130th year of the life of Adam and Seth was born as well.
With about 58 children in these years and one couple producing, then them with the other and then the others.
They were to near perfect to worry about defect. And incest is not insest if there is not a law against it in the land. 2515 years later the incest law was made for the land whrn hunch backs and dwarfs began. Other nations were having occasionaly a giant as a defect in genes.

Yeah the Bible promotes Incest. Also With Noah's Family. Check Out Numbers 36. I believe that Abraham's Wife Sarah was actually related to him.
There is also places in the Law where it is forbidden. The Bible is a strange book. It never claims to be consistent. Yet I have never met a person who was truly consistent. It is the instruction manual for life. GODs Word.

GOD Bless ya.

Down through the generations, our chemistry has been tainted. In the early Bible years, the body chemistry was clean and free from radicals, so it is not like today, two people having the same body chemistry to bore a child, which would have defects from having the same dna. God intended it like this, because of starting mankind. We consume bacteria and chemical everyday, that is why there is much sickness in the world. The world was pure and without sickness then.

Adam and Eve are just more myths that all those deluded believers can't distinguish from reality. Nothing new there, then.
