Milk is just one of the many food sources that can cause flatulence. Slow digestive systems or colonic blockage can also contribute to the gaseous emanations more commonly know as farting. Some people are more tolerant of milk than others so you might consider the possibility that you have lactose intolerance. See your doctor and have some gastro-intestinal testing performed.

Naturally if you have built up putrefacation in your digestive track from not going to the john for several days then anything you eat or drink will cause gas and a bloated stomach because what is rotten in you will cause other foods and drink to also putrefy. So take a laxative and the next day drink your milk and see what happens

Milk coats the stomach lining. People have different body
chemistries, so it's hard to say. Lemon lime soda releases
my gas. Some people have an intolerance to dairy products.
As long as it doesn't make you feel bad, LET ER RIP!

The anaerobic bacteria in your intestines break down the starches, proteins, etc. to sugars and then further into gases. The gases are mainly Methane 70% (CH4) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) 28% along with Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S). Voila. Farts.
Milk has the right stuff to make farts, yes. But so do most foods we eat.

Some people do have a reaction to milk and milk based products and it gets more pronounced as you get older. It's called "lactose intollerance" and in some cases can mean the person can have NO milk products in their diet at all.
Avoid milk if it bothers you and eat more dark green vegies that have high calcium.

I think it has something to do with the fat content. If you use whole milk try 2% or less like !% or skim and see if it still happens. I have heard of babies getting gas pains after their feeding of milk and unable to release it and thus the crying.
