That would be a neat trick, since the next election does not have anyone on the ballot for President. The next election is in Nov of this year (2006), and it will elect the US House of Representatives and 1/3 of the US Senate.
If you are talking about the election in 2008, then yes, it is possible that Kerry could be elected. But there is a lot that he would need to do between now and then, if he even decides to run. Personally, I will not be voting for him if he runs. I don't know who I will vote for yet, but it will be anyone who is not him.

Stop sniffing the glue. He will hand over control of this country to the UN, we would bow down to any and all threatening countries. Kerry is going to be able to fix what has happened during the Clinton/Bush era? I doubt he could tie his own shoes. Just because he spent a few months in uniform does not make him anything. He turned his back on all those he "served" with. He is a traitor, the only visions he has is of his wife's Ketchup fortune. He is a joke.

John Kerry (Heinz) pumped up his war record. He shamed other war veterans. He hangs on his wifes purse strings. Not only would he be a terrible president, his mouthy, better than thou wife would be the most volgur first lady we ever had. Kerry is your typical Democrat, tell you what you want to hear to get a power job. God bless America, God bless George W. Bush. Get the Democrats in power, you will be so sorry within a matter of 2 or 3 years, you don't even know.

John Kerry is a man severly out of touch with the average American, an individual his party purports to represent. If Hillary were elected, at least that's basically re-electing Bill by proxy. Just whatever happens, NO RUDY!!!

Gee, he was so great in his first run that he handily defeated the incumbent, winning a landslide of the Electoral College, and dragging a liberal Democratic landslide into the House and Senate along with him . . .
Oh, wait, that was Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush . . .
I'd love to see America accord Kerry the title of peasant.

Are you sure Kerry will be a candidate? At least Bush can't be elected again, if I am not mistaken!! But take it from someone who is not american, Kerry will not be elected. To Americans, it is important how someone looks - confident, charismatic, etc, and Kerry doesn't have it. He has it even less than Bush, who looks like a moron.

I would rather chop off my testicles than see that POS as President. What are you 12 or retarded? Here is your john kerry
"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution
and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on
suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its
weapons of mass destruction programs." - Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl
Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry ( D - MA), and others Oct. 9,1998
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-if
necessary-to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of
mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F.
Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9,2002
"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator,
leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so
consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to
his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction... So the
threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real" - Sen. John F. Kerry
(D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

He also has such low political support that he will never be able to gain the office. The world is not as black and white as you would like it to be.
