i have a cocker spaniel & poodle mix , mean as hell , why ?

Both cocker spaniels and poodles are popular breeds and because of this fact, many have been overbred....meaning that irresponsible breeders have bred them just for money and with little regard for temperament. In my own personal opinion, both breeds have become a bit unstable due to indiscriminate breeding. I noticed that more often than not, faults such as shyness and aggression breed true. Both poodles and cocker spaniels are known for being overly territorial. This is especially true for the cocker. Both breeds are not the best family dogs as they tend to pick one person in the family they attach to. I've never known a cocker that wasn't crabby and I've known a few very crabby poodles.
