I mean from the signs of it until you have fully recovered, being allowed to run about. Really fully recovered.

i've had had food poisoning 4 times in my life. all lasted less than 3 days. activated charcoal and lots of water was the effective remedy.

It usually lasts for 24hrs. But you can still not feel good for a couple days after. If you have symptoms for a week I would guess that it is not food poisoning and if you have no signs of improvement go to your doctor

if it really is food poisoning it should leave your system 24 to 48 hours the most. activated charcoal would help. if it is longer than that, i suspect you may have caught something else. best advice; go to a doctor.

I had it for 2 weeks once in college, but that was because I had a bad reaction to the medicine the doctor gave me. I thought I'd die before I ever got better.

Yes, if not taken care of properly. Food poisoning usually last 24 hours, if it is taken care. But bare in mind both can be deadly. Please get proper medical attention.
