What I'm really trying to say is can you imagine the hatred there would be between the two faiths.

I was wondering the same thing for the last few days. As a result, I was watching some other blogs and web boards yesterday.
First, isn't it interesting that if anyone outside of a "muslim" nation says anything that even hints at something negative towards muslims, muslims go on a rampage and kill and maim innocent people. (As a result of this comment, a priest and nun have already been killed so far.) But they say they are a religion of peace!!!!
Yea right.
Oh, Al Quieda has already said that it won't stop until they make the world muslim. But they are a religion of peace!!!!!
My openion, you want to anger 1 billion catholics around the world, kill the pope. I don't know if that would be wise, but they seem to be dumb enough to do it.
Can we say the makings of a real Holy War!!!!!
God Help Us

Well, you pose a very interesting scenario. In my opinion, the end of the world will come with deteriorating relations between the U.S. and China. You see the reason why I cannot completely agree with you is that Catholics and Christians alike would embrace a chance to showcase to the world and especially a certain other religion, that there are right and wrong ways to respond to international crises. The world should abandon the Middle East, no more occupations, no more aide, nothing. We want nothing but stability and lasting peace, they don't understand they will benefit from open markets and a democratic society; we are already finding out what certain Muslims can construe democracy into in order to have it fit their dogma. That place is as good as a sandbox, the intellectual, spiritual, and human value has been sucked out of the region leaving it decayed and deformed. It is a lost cause not worth our own lives, liberties, and way of life.

Have you considered the prophecy of St. Malachy? Many believe that, hundreds of years ago, he prophesied that this Pope would be the last one.
You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes
I'm no longer Catholic (I'm a non-denominational Protestant), but I believe in prophecy and have not discounted that this one is true. Only time will tell.
I do know this: once the Antichrist rises to power, he will establish a one-world "church." Prophecies given by Daniel and the Book of Revelation suggest this church will be based at the Vatican. This probably wouldn't be possible with a traditional Pope in residence. Food for thought.
As far as your dream, sadly, you'll only know it was prophetic if these things happen.
Peace.

I'm so glad you asked.
Although it is not widely publicized, the Pope has actually been cloned several times and those clones are standing ready in widespread locations to step in and take over for the original pontiff should it be needed. Each clone is continually updated with the latest papal hats and such, and is secreted near a Vatican helicopter that can be used to express deliver the Holy See clone on demand within six hours, anywhere in the world.
So now you know.

It wouldn't suprise me a bit if something like that happened. Religion spreads intolerance. The catholic church is a corrupt racket like all religions. Sure, they present themselves as reaching out to other faiths, etc. but that's just good PR. The pope had a "Mel Gibson moment" and let loose what he and others probably feel, but shouldn't say. It has fanned the flames and will probably lead to many deaths around the world.

In a world where the Pope calls every thing the most sacred person in Islam did was evil, perhaps you are looking the wrong way for the hate. The Pope should ask himself why there are no indigenous tribes in central America before he chases after a dead prophet.

I did a post a little earlier, I hope you don't mind me doing a little copy & paste. Here goes...
Apparently, 3 previous popes had 'prophetic' dreams about this pope, in that he would be the last before Armageddon.

Asker, a Muslim already tried to kill a Pope. His name was Mehmet Ali Agca and he was forgiven by John Paul II. The world didn't end because our Catholic faith calls for forgiveness of those who do us wrong. Islamic fascists call for death and destruction when they are offended, even by cartoons. Pope Benedict, like John Paul II before him, is compelled to speak the Truth even if it means his death.

Well, the pope is still alive, if that's what you want to hear. Suicide bombing the Pope - a highly improbably event - would spark off big-time religious problems, and leavnig us Protestants on the rim of a huge interreligious war thinking "jeez, mellow out, dudes."

Um...the pope doesnt have a problem with the fundamentalist islam. The government of the "super power" on the other hand has a lot of problem with them. So, i dont think they would do such thing.
