An opened red wine bottle ideally should not be refrigerated, though in a pinch you can try that. Once opened, a good red wine should be consumed within 24 hours, at the most 36 hours but that's pushing it. I would use a system with argon cartidges to replace the air.
White wine open bottles may be used up to 72 hours, probably a little longer if a vaccuum system is used with refrigeration. Here also, argon is better than CO2 cartridges.
Hope this helps.

Well it actually depends on the type and quality of wine,
This is a tough question. Since you say you like the wine, I can't tell you not to drink it. It won't make you sick. However, with exposure to oxygen, wine breaks down into vinegar. You should be able to smell this when the wine has been opened too long.

Drink the wine within a few days. The bottle will last a lifetime!

Refrigerated wine in a bottle will retain its quality for about 30 days. Wine in a bottle stored at room temperature will last about 7-14 days. Boxed wines, refrigerated, will last about 2-6 weeks.

Usually white wine has to be consumed on the same day. Red wine can be preserved for a few days, say a week. Not more than that.

The remaining wind should be okay for up to a week in the fridge. Then again, I rarely have leftover wine.
