This is a great time to see how strong your relationship is.
Write warm and loving letters. Send little boxes of goodies.
If you love him and you know he loves you, work on keeping it going while he is away.
Don't drive him crazy or you will drive him away. Remember he is in school and has to concentrate and study.
Have a fabulously beautiful picture done of yourself to send to him.
Write him only ONE letter a week. Once a month send him a shoebox of goodies he likes. Do not email more than once a week, do not call more than once a week. Make the letters the highlight of his week. Make him watch, want and look for them. Make them really special and in his mind you will stay really special.
Just to keep reminding him of how special you are. Be verbally supportive of his education.
Remember to continue to have your own life. Stay busy with work, school , friends and family. Do not just hang around waiting. Be a busy person.

well get used to it, even if you get married to him there is over a 50% chance that you will get divorced. you are 21 years old go out with your friends, make new friends, realize that your independence is the key to your long-term happiness whether you are in this relationship or not. he will need space eventually and you must be stable enough to provide that. start now you'll be much happier later by the way i am 22, coming off of a 3 year relationship where i made these mistakes and it is a lot harder to build the social network that i should have had for all that time.

Please don't do anything drastic and don't listen to some of the people here telling you to kill yourself! (Shame on you people! Have you no compassion? No kindness at all in your hearts? She came here for help and you use her as the butt of your sick jokes! You make me sick!) Suicide is a permant solution to a temporary problem and if someone tells you that they never considered suicide at any time in their lives or wanted to just die, they're lying.
Now, maybe you and your boyfriend will stay together through this. Maybe not. Maybe he will be a part of your life til you all are 80, maybe it will be someone else. Either way, don't part with your life. It's too precious!
Talk to your friends, family and people who will care about you. Don't listen to those who would tell you to throw it all away. And take care of yourself!

You need to think of him and not yourself. This is obviously what he wants to do so let him. Dont get urself all upset about it because there is nothing you can do. If you try and stop him that would be wrong because you are only doing it to make urslef happy. time will tell

You "CAN'T" live without him? You lived without him most of your life. Break up with him, and start going out with other guys. You're too young for all this.

go by your instincts. Try to kill yourself.
Don't fool yourself. Its not easy. Moreover life doesn't stop if one person is not there. You ppl can stay in touch with advanced means of communications.
