Personally, no. Its been translated time and time and time again. No way has it stayed the same. Is it real or true? thats up to you to decide. All about faith. Noone can tell you in a definate answer yes or no. Some might say they can but they are idiots. Again my answer is no. I think the bible is a good work of fiction. Man, im gonna catch it for that statement.Anyway, theres my answer. Whether anyone likes or doesnt or even cares, doesnt matter to me.

Well, our modern Bibles are just the same as the earliest manuscripts... Let's take the NT, for example. The earliest manuscripts there are, at latest, taken around the time of the Council of Nicea, and at the earliest, about 100 years prior (I don't remember exactly when), and read identical to the way we know now.

As for OT, those go even earlier... I mean, look at the Dead Sea Scrolls. Within them was a copy of, IIRC, Daniel, and it was the very same as what we use today.

An interesting fact on the reliability of the OT, is when the Diaspora of the Jews happened (soon after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans), the Jews split up into two primary groups, each taking a copy of the Torah. They no longer had any contact with each other. When they returned together, in the late 1800's, they compared Torahs. The *only* changes (and there were under 10 changes total, IIRC) was the usage of a couple words... for example (not an actual one, but rather to illustrate the point), one version used the word "red", the other used "crimson". Beyond those few differences, they were identical. If almost 1900 years could pass with so few changes, then it is safe to assume that another 1900 could pass with equally few changes.

The authenticity of the scriptures have been verified many times. This was an argument that held very little merit until about 40 years ago when the dead sea scrolls were found. They were dated some 3 or 4 thousand years old and had parts of the oldest scriptures in the Bible, it was written over a span of 900+ years. When they read what they could of it, it was degraded some, they found that it matched current records in the same language to the smallest iota. That little bit of merit the argument used to have was crushed into a final death.
Incidentally, the oldest known writings of any sort are found in the book of Job where there are descriptions of dinosaurs.
