'Cause it actually makes sense to them.
Because they approach theology - matters of life and death - as a simple case of 'risk management'.
Plus their preachers have probably told it to them a million times.

Most wouldn't recognize Pascal's wager, much less understand it, if it blazed in front of them....
and if they did, as you say, throw up Pascal's wager...they are betting on the short odds...
of course, that makes gaming sense....the smaller the odds for , the greater the rewards...
or another reason....
they couldn't make the [Ddekind] cut
they figure...DeMoivre de merrier
they believe without rhyme or Reimann
they confused duophysite with diophantine
believe in Pascal's wager...I gauss not!

Christianity is established "truth" to Christians, and they will not allow themselves to logically conceive how someone could not believe what they believe. All that said, Pascal's Wager is the only form of "logic" they can come up with to counter their critics, which is sad when you consider that the wager was proven to be a fallacy of reason many, many years ago.

Because they fail to see the flaw in the wager. The wager assumes that any idea of GOD is the one described in the bible.

Well I look at it this way. When I get in my truck, I put on my seat belt. I am not out looking for an accident, but I'd rather have it on if an accident does occur... "better safe than sorry", I firmly believe in Christ. I don't think it's better safe than sorry. I know that I would be sorry if I didn't believe. You can do what you want.

Take into consideration that God looks at the intent of your heart. For example, when Jesus taught about adultry, He said that if you look at a woman, to lust for her, you've committed adultry in your heart. There are many more. I think that our motivation for salvation is important to ensure that you are soundly saved. You should be grateful that someone is standing before the judge and has already paid your fine that you can't even afford.

Always counter with the Hell Law!
The Hell Law says that Hell is reserved exclusively for them that believe in it. Further, the lowest Rung in Hell is reserved for them that believe in it on the supposition that they'll go there if they don't.
