Are you serious??

YES she can.

There is no restriction in Islam to prevent her from doing so.

absolute crap! there is nothing like that. the only restrictions in ramadan are fasting from dusk till dawn. It allows one to understand how less fortunate people go through their days without food and thus at the end of ramadan their is compulsory charity pay out to such people (and that is once again only applicable to people who can afford).

Fasting teaches one to be less materialistic, coz when you fast your patience levels improve and so does tolerance towards others and ultimately eliminating greed. People invite each other to feast together for the sake of harmony.

Unfortunately, most of us don't really follow the spirit of fastign and hence the despair in the muslim world. You can't really preach something you don't practise yourself can you?
