every time someone posts an answer to one of my questions I get an incoming e-mail with a picture of a blond girl staring at a pink package. Sometimes she can pop up 20 or 30 times in the space of an hour.
Is she stalking me, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

OMG!! I knew that little ***** was out getting gifts on the side again. Be careful whats in that pink package. It might cause severe itching.

well if it is poppiung up every time someone answers your question then i think it is just wishful thinking but if it had been popping up every time a certain person answered then i think they would be stalking you.

I think you should go to your profile page, click on Edit My Info and then unselect the following option:
When I ask a question, notify me when I receive new answers. (You will be able to override this setting each time you ask a question as well as change it in your Open Question view.)
