Yes, walking, swimming, jumping, running, aerobics, kick-boxing, bicycling, all would be cardio. This means that it will benefit your heart and lungs. It will also benefit your whole body. Cardio is what burns the most calories. You can't lose or maintain weight without cardio. Cardio also helps lower your cholesterol. Weight training, stretching, and spot training (like crunches), are all good for you too, but they need to be combined with cardio because alone they won't do much for your body.

P.S.- If your goal is weight loss then you have to do cardio at least for 30 - 45 minutes, at least 3-5 times a week, and you have to break a sweat.

walking, sprinting and swimming, these exercises increase ur heart rate i.e blood pumping and overal heart functioning.
but u need to start slowly.. get to a gym coach who specialise in cardio exercises....please note, only light exercises if u have a heart condition.

Cardio means any exercises that will get the heart pumping and get you sweating. It can be any form of exercise that is vigorous enough to get your heart to beat faster, make you breathe harder and to sweat out all the "toxins".
