Depends what comes out the exhaust etc, but it's much cheaper to tax it for 12 months, then claim 6 months back.

you will get a refund on any entire months of tax left i these days replaced my automobile and my previous one had 3 months tax left so I sent it off for a refund can not undergo in concepts how plenty I have been given lower back

12 months tax is £125.
6 months is about £68.50p I think. Half the annual rate plus a fiver or so. Costs more cause you can't afford the full years tax.

can't remember exact figure but I think it's about £92. It's slightly cheaper to get a year instead of 2 lots of 6 months,

It all depends on the age and engine capacity of your car.
It's cheaper to tax a motorbike - £15 for a year.
