No! It's not the language of the dead but it's a language that is no longer spoken by many people unlike in the past. A dead language does not necessarily mean that nobody speaks it anymore. There is no maximum number of speakers that defines dead language. Anyway, a dead language is a language that is continuously declining in numbers of speakers that one can be considered dead if for example before, millions speak it but now, only a few thousands (e.g. Latin). And in the future, it can be inferred, it will no longer grow or survive (i.e. nobody will speak it anymore).
A dead language is also a language that may be considered useless or impractical in a certain place/country (not everywhere) but before it was a very useful one. For example, Spanish was the religious, political and economic language of the Philippines from the 16th to 19th century, but now it's dead because it is no longer used as before (Spanish was replaced by English and main local tongues).

The definition of a dead language is that nobody living has learned it as their first language, i.e. when they first started to speak as toddlers.
Hebrew used to be a dead language before it became the official language of Israel. May be you want to call that a Zombie.;)

It is a language that isn't spoken any more. Ancient Latin for instance, is still recognized in print, but no-one actually knows how it is spoken.
The language of the dead is still spoken, by the dead one presumes. But if you don't understand it, it could also possibly be a dead language.
Zombies can't speak at all, amatuer!

A dead language is one that isn't spoken commonly everyday, such as ancient Greek and Latin.
Having said that, the languages are not completely dead, as many of the words of our modern language originated from the 'dead' languages. And Latin is still used in professions such as law and medicine.
