If the religion you believe in now didn't exist (Use your imagination and imagine god wanted some other religion to be the "true" one.) what religion would you be?
Also, I'm out of answers, so I'm gone for the night. Hope I made you think!

Cool Mom : Well right now I don't have a religion, per se. I have beliefs, taking from just about every religion in existance.
But if I couldn't do this, from what I've learned I'd probably go back to total Paganism, or actually a form of Satanism I've found that doesn't actually believe in Satan, but merely that we are our own gods and we are in control of everything.

That is a great question.
If I wasn't a Pagan, I'd probably be agnostic. I enjoy the mindset of the 'can't prove god, can't disprove god' group. I think it's a smart choice because it's true that as of now, there is no proof either way. I don't think there can even be an extremist agnostic.
I studied up on Buddhism before I became Pagan and I really enjoy the philosophies of it. I just don't think I'd be very good at it. I would have a very hard time limiting my pleasures and curbing my desires. I think it's a beautiful practice but maybe just not right for me, at least at this point in my life.
Then again, maybe I'd just dedicate my life to spreading the word of the FSM. I'd go around and pray that everyone be touched by His noodly appendage. Then I'd cook up vats and vats of spaghetti and share with all. I don't think this is an option though as I already consider myself a Pagan Pastafarian. If neither existed, I'd be bummed out and eating ramen for one.

Wow, do people ever get upset over questions about religion. I think your question is interesting. I am a Catholic (born and bred, not converted), but if I had to be a different religion for whatever reason, I would agree with (I can't remember who it was now) the person who said Buddhist. Catholicism and Buddhism have very little in common, but I appreciate the serenity of the religion and respect their beliefs. I have respect for all religions, even ones with which I have many disagreements, because I feel that each person is entitled to his or her own beliefs, regardless of what my personal opinion of such beliefs may be.
What's your religion, by the way?

A breath of fresh air. Thanks 'Cool Mom'. I agree. If Christianity suddenly didn't exist - I'd most likely gravitate towards what seems to be the peaceful 'religion' of Buddhism. Craig!! :o)

Since I ain't no religion, I guess I will still be and believe what God would have me believe.
If God wanted me to believe what I believe then, it would stand to reason he would want me believing now what I believe.
