You clearly are speaking from a politically correct point of view. If you had actually researched history, you'd find that Islam is the bloodiest of religions. For instance, did you know that the Crusades only happened after 400 years of Muslim persecution of Christians? No, of course not, they don't teach that in our educating institutions. How about the fact that vastly far more Christians are dieing now than at any point in recorded history. Go to Voice of the Martyrs web site and look into things a little before you go spouting your P.C. b.s.
http://judgeright.blogspot.com
But Muslims aren't alone in this persecution of the Christians, China is arresting people for holding church services, many times the Christians are simply not heard from again. In many parts of India Christians are being killed for simply sharing the gospel message. In the Sudan, the Muslim government is deeply involved in ethnic cleansing not only of Christians but of Muslims who do not believe in their specific brand of Islam.
Other than the Crusades, which we condemn as wrong because of the Catholic church's order for ethnic cleansing and the evil that their warriors perpetrated on innocent civilians, what can you point to as Christian violence against other faiths? Timothy McVie didn't claim Christianity as his reason for bombing, the abortion clinic bombings were condemned by all the main stream churches unlike Islam where their most popular religious and political leaders are breathing hatred and murder to the West. On my web page you can see video links of them doing exactly that in front of cheering crowds. Where is that happening in any part of the West agains Islam? It isn't.

What else are you expecting at?
Beside the spritual guiding light of our earthy lives, it is about a history of a group of mankind. If it is all about the angles singing in heaven, drifting wine and honey strems and tree of gold everywhere, I would consider it useless. Tell me about another history of the mankind which has not influenced less deaths and atrocities than Bible in this world? Make sure that the period should be long enough as the Bible history.
Would you feel better if it's about less deaths and atrocities but nothing to refer for your real world which has full of deaths and atrocities?

Sara, It is not the Bible, but people's misinterpetation of the Bible.
Throughout the 20th century, Jehovah's Witnesses have gone to prison and / or to their death because of following what the bible teaches about love of God and of their neighbor.
Yes, in the Hebrew Scriptures Jehovah used war in behave of his people, but it was in a limited context and for a very good reason, the protection of his chosen people.
Today there is no "chosen" single nation. Those chosen are from all nations, and language groups.

Because they forget the bible's roots come from a culture who murder the innocent to cover their sin, praise death over life, and value chaos over order.

Between two ridiculous, fiction-filled books, you have the reason for more murder and death in civilization than all other reasons put together...the Bible and the Koran...what a heap of bullshit! Murdering for God just doesn't get it, but Jewish, Christian, and Islam all seem to justify murder with thier book in hand! And these same religilions cannot understand atheism or any other religion that preaches peace (and means it.)

Ahh yes, a woman I really admire.
Sad but true.
Unfortunately, people would rather believe dogma than true spirituality regardless of religious conviction. They read only parts that appeal to them and totally reject what is unappealing.
Peace.

If I deny Christ before Man......... Jesus will deny me before God. It is not the Bible's fault for other's actions or misinterpretations. You are angry at what you cannot understand.
