When you say animals, I'm assuming you mean all non-plant multicellular organisms. There are some that can go many years without food in dormant states. There's a species of fish somewhere in africa whom's eggs can survive for decades(around 10 or so I think) laying in the dirt until it rains again.

they can last a few days, but haven't heard of animals lasting years without food. otherwise they will eat their own kind.
