Is it true some churches are still doing missionary work in this day and age?

When we were going to start supporting a missionary in our church, if we couldn't have them visit us, they would usually send us letters & info about them and their family where they were & what was it they were going to be doing, such as teaching english, starting a new church, what ever they were going to do. Pray about it as a church & want upon the Lord.

Do you know who is going to recieve this gift? Let them give you ideas as to how to best raise the funds and deliver them. They should be able to speak to your congergation and tell them what they are trying to accomplish. No one will want to get involved without a clear idea what they are giving or contributing to. keep records, no cash.
