Hi,
Could be a lot of reasons. I don't know enough about you.
Here are some suggestions:
Cut down on caffeine. (Reduce coffee, ice tea and soft drinks.)
If you are a smoker, this may also be keeping you awake. Try to stay away from cigarettes near bedtime.
It could be worries. There are two three things you can do to help you fall asleep faster. 1. Get some sleepy time tea. It really helps. 2. Buy some Cal-Mag. It's a natural muscle relaxant and stress reliever. Take it every night before bed. )with your sleepy time!) 3. There is something called a "Sleepless person Assist." You simply walk around the block. I'm not suggesting you put yourself in danger, but if you can walk in the evenings, this is brilliant. Just keep walking around the block until things look solid. Just keep walking. That's all there is to it. Very effective.

Your having insomnia... This is what you have to do....
first, before going to bed give yourself a warm bath.
second, drink one glass of warm milk...
third, turn off the light in your bedroom and try to relax your mind... Don't think of anything that will make you awake...
last but not the least, wake up early
(even though you slept late )... eat breakfast and make yourself busy... Do not sleep or take a nap in the afternoon! and then after dinner, repeat 1-3 ;o).... I'm pretty sure by 10pm your snoring already....try this, its really works ;o)sweet dreams!

i don't know the real real reason why you can't sleep;your symptoms you described saying Every night, I am wide awake at 3am.this to me sounds like insomnia; or perhaps you go to sleep early & your fully rested after a few hours of sleep. depression in many forms can wreak havok on a persons sleep. maybe you're just a night person rather then a person who likes days. i really don't know because i don't know you personally & your situation . perhaps you could message me back & talk with me about your sleeping problems more in depth if you'd like i'll listen to you.
