From as close as under your kitchen sink. You would not believe the multitude of plants, chemicals, medicines and airborne agents that are considered to be poison. Heck, the easiest poison to get your twisted little hands on would be a "cigarette"- the most deadly poison known to mankind. :(

At any fish market in Paris.
The word poison in French means fish. My advice is forget searching for poison. Go fishing instead. Or, if you're not into fishing, and I can understand that (I'm not), you might prefer going to a nice restaurant and having some fish. I love doing that. I especially enjoy steamed fish.

Bleach, rat poison from the grocery store, enough alcohol; sort of depends on what you want to kill, and how painful you want the death to be.
