I have a 20 or so year old dbx -15 passive subwoofer with one channel of the crossover fried. Does anyone know where I can get it (the crossover board) replaced in the Chicago area? it was an outstanding unit, and I want to get it back in my system.

You might search the Chicago area on the internet for a reputable audio service technician, or contact DBX for a local technician.

There is an online audio repair website that may be able to help you get your sub's crossover repaired. Try this website...

At this point, it may be time to buy a new subwoofer. The old DBXs were MUCH different (older technology) than subwoofers are today.
If you are really handy, here is another thought. Save the cabinet. Go buy a 15 inch woofer and a new subwoofer amp from www.partsexpress.com. Good luck. I hope that I was helpful.

I think you may be looking at a replacement rather than repair, good luck!
