When you are feeling the time is right. Granted, you don't want to propose marriage after only a month of dating, but after at least 8-12 months, you should know if a relationship has marriage potential or not.

If you do propose and he or she turns you down, don't be discouraged. Maybe they are not ready yet to marry. If after a couple of years your partner does not want to marry and you do, then they may never want to marry. If that is your relationship goal, then you have to decide right there to leave or stay in the relationship.

There is no right time to propose to someone, just go with it. But if you or your b/f. g/f have negative thoughts, well if in doubt don't. You'd only regret it later. Maybe that person isn't ready to settle down yet, or doesn't want to.

If you love her and you have been dating for a reasonable amount of time to get to know each other truly (we're not talking 2 months here) then ask her.
If she says no, accept it and ask her if she could tell you what her reasons are... if she doesnt love you or she doesnt see you 2 having a future then yes, dont ask her again. If she just isnt ready or she thinks its moving too fast accept that and keep working on the relationship, keep communication open and eventually she will let you know when she feels ready for you to ask again.
Good luck.

You should propose when it's needed. When you will lose her if you don't and she's important enough to sacrifice. When you want to have children, when you honestly believe you'll never be interrested in another woman in your life.

depends on what the negative awnser is and how long it's been since you've proposed. my first advice is talk to your partner about marriage and see what they say...and then take it from there.
