Or that at least seven Christian churches have been attacked, with two being set on fire, in Palestinian areas? Are these outrageous acts? And all of this because of something the Pope uttered in a speech in Germany? Where is the outrage among Muslim leaders for these acts?

And all of it is being done because the Pope read a QUOTATION from a medieval book. Totally ridiculous of these people doing these acts.

-She had worked there for many years in a hospital for women and children and helped many people. She was doing good work, not going around trying to convert people. Somalia has only recently gone so strongly Muslim Think before you speak/write. I'm personally outraged, but I also don't blame the entire Muslim religion for what some dirtballs did. People do evil things, religion or not. ALTHOUGH some words of commiseration would be nice.

I partly agree with upallnite. Of course murder is always, always wrong - and murder committed in the name of religion is a double evil, in my opinion.

Having said that, Somalia is one of the most homogeneous Muslim countries in the world. Was the nun there for 'mission work', I wonder?

I think missions are terribly wrong. I would never say 'she got what she was asking for', but if she was a missionary, I wonder if she never thought about whether or not she was doing the right thing?

I agree it is bad. But what were churches doing in palestinian areas any ways? Didn't they know what would happen?
