no, I work in a restaurant and this happens alot and no one ever expects a tip, and I think it would be rude to expect one.

If he was honest and courteous enough to call youand nothing was missing, then yes, why not. A small show of appreciation for not having lost all your info goes a long way in proving that by nature, the human being is still a pretty decent species.

Darn right you should. Because without their honesty you might not have got it back. The next person to come along might not be so honest. Someone found a wallet I lost, it had $250.00 in it when I lost it, the money was still in it when they returned it. While I'm not the wealthiest person in town, more like a broke dick dog, I gave them half of what was in it. $125.00. Because without their honesty I would have nothing.

If a customer turned it in and they have the name, then tip the customer. If it was found by a store employee, then no tip is required, and probably is not even permitted. Just thank them and be darn glad you got your wallet back!

You could risk offending him or her with cash, particularly if they are older than you. A bunch of flowers, or a box of chocolate, or a bottle of wine would probably be better - put a nice card in it saying how much you appreciate their actions, as the information in your wallet was vital to you.

A thank you along with some kind of tip, even a small
tip would be nice. It would be an extra thank you to the
store manager.

I would only tip if another shopper found and returned the wallet. The manager only did his or her job.

Well since it was the store manager , I'd say a sincere Thank You should be sufficient.

it would be nice but its not required...maybe tipping will encourage people to return things more...sadly some people always expect a monetary reward for doing a good deed...i think a sincere 'thank you' would suffice.
