some tell tale signs will be undying thirst, needing to urinate often especially at night, lethargy, getting more infections than usual especially fungal infections. And if u r past 40, u r likely to be overweight and lead a sedentary life (although not necessary). If u are suspicious, go visit ur dr and have a blood test done.

You should suspect it if you urinate a lot, have a big appetite you haven't had before, or you feel very thirsty most of the time. A sudden weight loss is also a sign. When you suspect being diabetic you should go to the doctor to run blood tests - if the sugar in your blood is especially high you're diabetic.

Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless. Recent studies indicate that the early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes.
Some diabetes symptoms include:
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision

frequent urination, very very thirty!!, moody, insomnia b/c of not being able to sleep to get up to go to the bath room often, bladder pain/spams (from sugar in your bladder) {dysuria}, vision changes, increased appetite {polyphagia}, dehydration, stomach cramps/pain, nausea, vomiting.
And if it goes without treatment and gets too high...coma/seizures and death. So it is a serious illness not to be ignored. You really wouldn't be wounds quite so soon for newly Dx Diabetic not to heal. If they are not healing up right at present time, then address this to your doctor as well; means you more likely have had the illness longer than expected.
Also it is important to..(depending to on what time your doctor's app. is) to try and hold off eating. Reason is he would I am 100% sure wand to draw blood on you. It's called a A1C level. It is a test that tells what you glucose (blood sugar) was for the past 3 months on average was. He helps he/or her to know if you are a diabetic or not and if so what medicine to put you on. But if your app. time is late afternoon than please eat! I would not want you to bottom out. A blood test can always be scheduled to be taken later at your convince. I hope this helps and good luck..

Constant thirst
Tiredness or lack of energy

Excessive Urination
These are some of the signs...

A blood test and urinalysis will diagnose diabetes. Some of the symptoms include rapid, dramatic weight loss, unquenchable thirst, dizziness, a feeling of weakness and cold sweats that is solved by eating, occasional vision blur
