The new Coolpix S10, the S4 (2005), and the 8800 (2004) share top place in the Coolpix line: 10x optical zoom.
Other brands have a few models with as much as 12x optical zoom.

I don't know, but please don't be fooled by the amount of digital zoom. Just worry about optical.
