for a person of his caliber, he holds far more responsibilities. he should try bringing communities closer , rather this Pope seems to be driving communities further apart. to quote someone using as an excuse was something wrong. there were many qoutes but instead he chose to quote a man who killed many people himself. shows the Ignorance, doesnt it?.
the Pope could have qouted what people like --
Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship and the Heroic in History,' 1840
Mahatma Gandhi, a statement published in 'Young India,'1924.
Dr. William Draper in 'History of Intellectual Development of Europe
W. Montgomery Watt in 'Muhammad(saaw) at Mecca,' Oxford, 1953.
K. S. Ramakrishna Rao in 'Muhammad(saaw): The Prophet of Islam,' 1989
Jules Masserman in 'Who Were Histories Great Leaders?' in TIME Magazine, July 15, 1974
Gibbon in 'The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire' 1823

Hey Listen . I am not perfect by any means ..and the same goes to rest of the world..a man in pope's position and the type of work he is doing..it is a very sensitive stuff ..with so many advisers around him he should use them..
But i personally think he knew what he was talking about
a religious man will never repeat negative text about other religions..specially the Pope..
even the ordinary Muslim who is been taking a lot of abuse recently dose not bed mouth Christianity..no mater what ..

As POP and a leader for one majority community he has lot of responsiblities. No word like that should come out from his mouth like this.
In bible it self , it is alraedy wrote that " one should not disqualify or condemn other religieon and it is not favour for jesus".
I wish to ask sorry for the inconvenience happened to my muslim brothers and sisters on behalf of our beloved POP.
I request through this all Communal leaders to check their words before it comes out

I am more concerned with what he said about secular nations. He kind of sounded like hitler in his speach.
