what model do you have ? is a camera or a camcorder ?
if is a camcorder ...no way to be converted into digital.
For a 35 mm camera is possible but doesn't make sense. Will be to expensive.
More realistic ... buy a digital one.

There are no kits to convert analogue handycams to digital. If you want a digital machine, you'll have to buy a new one.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.
It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
