I usually draw the ocean, ships, mermaids, animals, clouds. I sometimes want to create cool new art projects, I've only ever used Charcoal, paints, pencil, pen, and pastels. I also wanted to try stippling on black paper, I saw it online, but I didnt know what I could use to do that, someone did the stippling in color, and mostly white. I want to try new tools, and what can I do or use? Also What else can I draw, I need some ideas? I'm sitting here on the computer with markers, and a pencil, and charcoal, I also have paints. Help me out!

Well, maybe you should get into painting...perhaps you're a bit bored with drawing. Start with acrylics, they are cheap and easy to clean up (but not off your clothes) Maybe pick a wall in your bedroom and paint some of those mermaids and ships...create a whole scene and don't be scared of messing up, you can always go back and paint it over.

Try to use clay, sculpt it into something, like a person on paper. Then try to recreate the rest of the person on the paper using pencils and such. It will really make you work at making the rest of it look 3D.

As an exercise - try to draw different emotions, then try using different colors to express emotions.

Try to make a pen & ink cartoon series.

Illustrate any book or song.

There are oil pastels. Try other forms of art, like paper mache, clay, carving, etc. You could also draw desert themes, lake/mountain, jungle, antartic, city, towns, farms....IDK, but this is what I have in mind.

First, learn the texture of these new materials, and their performances in the paper / surface.
Sounds funny, but watch Art Attack in Disney Channel, my nephew like it so much, they show you how to use different techniques.
