It depends on several factors. maybe no knows. But yeah, the level of interest also affects answers. The time also affects the number of answers. Most of the answers come from Americans and then Australians and then Europe (by the way, i am in South Africa) and other countries. During the day for americans you are more likely to get intelligent answers from the adults. teen agers tend to log on more at night. Some Asians and Europeans often have trouble spelling or understanding some things in english.

The good thing to is that when America sleeps Australia is awake as well as Asia, Africa, and Europe, so there should always be an answer provided the question is interesting.

The catagories also affect the number of answers.

Also the amount of questions affect the number on answers. People tend to answer the first question they see that interests them instead of scrolling through the questions asked earlier in the day.

Surely it depends on the answer? I assume that people who ask questions want a serious answer, but some people don't take your questions seriously. I find your question very interesting and could write a book on the subject.

I think it depends on who sees your question. It seems every time I ask a specific computer question nobody wants to answer, but when I ask a question that may be easier to answer then they come out in droves. So maybe not so much interesting as easy.

People are looking for a quick answer,eg-yes -no-, to get a quick 2 points. If the question looks like it is difficult, they move on to another question.I just clicked on your square, and looked at your questions, and answered your terry logan -with -who is he or she, as i wouldnt have a clue. Also you are asking questions in the wrong categories, and some of us choose a category that we feel we might stand a chance of getting best answer and gaining 10 points. If you answer a question, say , in mathematics, then you ask a question straight afterwards, you will still be in mathematics.Try to choose the correct category for your question before you ask, and then submit the question, or change the category , when it gives you the opportunity to do so,(just before you send it.)

It depends on the question.. sometimes if the question too long, I don't read it, but if it is interesting, I answer without hesitating..

There is something we call attractive and suspense.. on other hand may be you are asking in times nobody on line.

Why is this question in the category 'non-alcoholic drinks'? Could that have something to do with it? Also, I think it depends how catchy your question is! And how easy it is to answer.

How interesting the question is probably has a part to play, but also how difficult the question is!

think it has more to do with the time of day than the level of interest.... Easy questions will obviously get more answers than harder ones

It seems it has to be goofy, totally common and easy, or a common mainstream subject within a category (like my browser won't let me delete my surfing history in "Internet") to get lots of answers.
