I wish to buy a te;levision and dvd player for my son in denmark. will it work in denmark if I buy it in england

Most modern TV's are multi standard, so if you already have it go into into the setup menu and see if PAL/l or UK is on the list, if so it will probably work, that's for normal terrestial transmisssions, If you are able to receive digital by Sat/cable or Terrestial then you will need a separate receiver box which will connect through a SCART cable. The voltage is the same 220-240, all you have to do is fit a new Danish plug. DVD player will be ok as it will have a direct connection via a SCART cable, and does not rely on a tuner. If you need more info contact the manufacturers and state the model numbers.

It has nothing to do with the power source -
UK and Denmark have the same 240AC.

However, their TV system is completely different and you cannot use a UK TVset
in Denmark.

Depends on the power source in Denmark. I dont know if they have 240V DC and three pin plugs.

he'll probably need an adaptor for the sockets too....

but other than that, it won't work any differently to how in would in the uk in denmark
