Its past events. The book was written after the events took place.
Most Christians think its prophetic, it gives the bible some pazas.
The bible has many many absurdities, inconsistencies, logical inconsistencies, scientific errors, scribal errors, false prophecies (many of them)
forget 'Revelation', just look at the rest of the books. Purposely mis translated. Badly edited, added verses
I know its gonna suck, but Jesus is a myth.

Revelation does not just decribe real events. It also speak of what is the relationship between The Old Testament and the New Testament. It speaks of what is the truth behind the seemingly good news that looks good and true but against the real teachings from the Old Testament. And it talks about what lies ahead because of this. The reason why so many people cannot understand the inconsistencies between the two and how people have been deceived for more than 2000 years. There is real no anti-Christ. It was created by the religions so that when you try to go against them, they will have someone to point as anti-Christ and in fact, they were the deceivers that Christ was talking about..

it does describe real events and it is going to take place in the future. The only part that's taken place in the past is the 7 churches in Rev. chapters 2&3. The world is heading for an indescribable nightmare and it's just around the corner. You can read about it Rev. Chapters 6-19. Come to Christ while there is still time. Save yourself.

ST that's a e book written for the present, regrettably, the present grew to become into to the author, being fulfilled by making use of events interior the 1st century. The authorship has been completely explored here some circumstances lol, yet i think of maximum here would agree that John the Apostle, John the Evangelist, and John of Patmos communicate with 3 separate persons. overlook the spelling alterations, Revelation in assessment to the Gospel grew to become into no longer written in amazing Greek. Revelation is composed of grammatical blunders and stylistic abnormalities which point out its author won't have been as responsive to the Greek language by way of fact the Gospel's author. in accordance to early custom, the writing of this e book got here approximately close to the very end of Domitian's reign, around ninety 5 or ninety six. Others contend for an before date, sixty 8 or sixty 9, interior the reign of Nero or presently thereafter. it would desire to actual be between the oldests books interior the recent testomony lol. yet even the Pope does no longer take those products heavily, for the period of a dialogue approximately Revelation on 23 August 2006, Pope Benedict XVI remarked: "The seer of Patmos, pointed out with the apostle, is granted a chain of visions meant to reassure the Christians of Asia amid the persecutions and trials of the tip of the 1st century." And formerly an army of Prostestants leap down my throat, and tell me Catholics are actually not cristian rubbish - then evaluate that the daddy of your church - Martin Luther got here across it an offensive piece of paintings" and "John Calvin had grave doubts approximately its cost."

Hard to say . As it is one of the hardest books to follow and the verses are in the form of visions . which are open to interpretation for the most part.
But I believe the four Housemen of the Apocalypse is in it.we have been living in their shadow at least since the time Adam and Eve were removed from the GARDEN . They are war ,famine , pestilence, and DEATH.That much cannot be gotten around.
Trying to interpet the future is not easy as things change and you may not have the words to describe what you see in terms that the people of your time can understand .

The final book of the Bible, entitled The Apocalypse or The Book of Revelation, is a written record in the form of a letter (an epistle), in which future events were revealed to the writer in visions and portrayed through symbolic language. This unique genre of revelatory written works in which future events are revealed through dreams or visions is known as apocalyptic literature and includes portions of the Old Testament books of Ezekiel and Daniel.
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw - that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:
Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Most things in the book of revelation have already taken place. But since most of them are so controversial, they don't teach them anymore. 50 years ago protestants knew alot about prophecy, today they have neglected to study. I believe Christ gives us revelation to know what is going to happen and to trust his word, not understanding it would be a bad move considering he gave it to us in his word, and it talks about how to be saved in the end.
