They pose no threat to the U.S. In the other hand you should be afraid of those that get here legally paid by terrorist abroad and seek nothing more than to destroy the U.S. Ilegals come here in search for a better life and unlike terrorist they are here to take lives.

if we could secure the borders and get a guest worker program in place so those who do just want to work could come over and work, and those who pose a threat could not get through, i think things would settle down a lot. problem right now is that everyone who could harm us (this not only includes terrorist, but also drug lords and gang members) can just blend in with the normal immigrants.

awww, look at that, i got a thumbs down from one of the 'all or nothing' people. sorry people, but to look at things realistically, the government is not going to deport 12 million people. if they were, they would have done it by now. they also are not going to say "okay now everyone is a citizen". whether you like it or not, they are going to find a middle ground.

LOL,my kindred soul, why bother asking? You know it's such a hoax and a diversion. They are gonna hit you with fake statistics and the official democratic rhetoric meant to justify a socioeconomic system in shambles and to distract attention from the chaotic and abusive fight against terrorism and all the mismanaged problems.Democrats need six seats to regain control of the Senate, right?
No threat whatsoever.BS

Tired of fighting (pretending to fight?)invisible enemies, they needed a far more concrete and tangible 'enemy',as an outlet for growing popular frustration.

Ruining schools and costing tens of billions of dollars a year from benefit programs that can not afford to lose that money is not 'no harm'.

Each one isn't that big a deal, and in 1986 we gave amnesty because of our empathy. However, things got worse. Now there are way too many to the point that the entire country sees the problem. We need to fix the system, and with the now NATIONAL concern, we can.

For a person above me, it is a fact that poor people, even when they pay taxes, pay much less than they take out in services, particularly education, but also aid to children, etc. That is why immigration of poor people is limited to begin with. The impact on schools and health care is huge. Importing poverty is a bad idea.

Well, I am not personally angry with illegal immigrants. They are just squirrels trying to get their nuts. I am angry at the federal government for various reasons on all immigrants legal or not.

1) some immigrants do not pay taxes for seven years. So of which are Indian doctors who can afford it.

2) Immigrants like Latinos receive special treatment from the government which is not consistent with the constitution. If you only read and speak Spanish you can still receive your drivers license. The written test is in Spanish. What make you think that they can read all the street signs. They can receive welfare and go to college with special grants which are not available to citizens.

3) Unsecure border is very dangerous in todays world. Both borders, Canada and Mexico are very important. Mexican border is more dangerous due to the corrupt Mexican authorities and lack of cooperation by the Mexican government. And remember Mexico is part of OPEC.

yes they do pose a threat. At least some do. We simply can't afford them. But I blame our government for not doing a better job on the borders. If the influx keeps up like it is now and these people get the right to vote....say good bye to America as we know it.

I basically agree with you, except the only real problem w/ having illegal immigrants means that you have lots of people in the country who aren't accounted for in govt records, meaning that complicates a whole bunch of stuff like for example, if they commit a crime there is no record of who they are, or if they get sick and need hospital treatment there are also no records.

But yeah, people are wayyyy too angry about immigration. As a Spanish speaker myself, I think it's awesome we are getting a better taste of Latin American (and other types of) culture :).

As for the person saying they steal jobs...um usually illegal immigrants end up taking the jobs no one else here will do. It's actually unfair for the immigrants from a human rights standpoint. Keep in mind, nobody chooses to be born where they are.

INDIO they have the ability to completely destroy the social, financial, and judicial structure of this country. The main reason being Latin America has about a billion people that want to come here illegally

Well its true that they want a better life here but at our cost! They want to come here illegal and get benefits! I think that's so unfair for people that have done things right in order to come and reside in our country! If they are willing to do it legally its ok but illegally is just not right and that's what gets us mad!

Because its illegal and here's the penalty's for helping illegals

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

It's funny how many of these people are so upset about illegals being here that don't pay taxes but they're against legalizing them in order for them to pay taxes. Mass deportation is unrealistic. It's either they let the good citizens that contribute to the society become legal so they can pay taxes or they can just leave it the way it is and they can cry about them not paying taxes... did that make sense.. ? :)
