1. Use _raw_ meat!
2. Don't use rice! Cats DON'T NEED carb sources, and rice (and corn) in particular are bad for them!
For some good, time-proof cat recipes, check www.catnutrition.org
Don't try to feed cats without the research necessary, you _may_ kill them.
And on the question why make food - because the food that is sold contains a lot of crap - dead, diseased, decayed, and dying animals; beaks and feathers of chicken and other stuff like that, which is very low-grade, and too much carbohydrate sources. Plenty of good reasons for home-made food.

Cats need the proper balanced nutrition in bought cat food. People food only as a treat. By the way, they like liver and beef raw.

Cats don't generally like too much of a mish mash of foods.
I would definately take out the rice, and stick to one kind of meat at a time. They will tolerate a small amount of veg like green beans if it is chopped finely.
I have two very fussy moggies so I empathise with trying to feed yours, it can be so difficult to get what they like.
ps I have one cat that likes a curry and the other loves cheese, if your moggie loves spice or something strange, maybe add a tiny amount of that to the dish. ; )

You could add some fish to it, although I would suggest that you add some gravy to it. All cats that I own and know of love the gravy that is with the meal.
Good Luck

Too much items in the cat food! Remember they are cat not dog! They will confused. Cats are small eater they just a very small amount each time.
Would you eat that stuff? Of course you won't eat it!
Try mixing white rice and breast chicken meat (meat shouldn't be too salty) Remember If you like it your pet will like it.

Why make cat food??? Tons of good cat foods are on the market! If you are going to make cat food, the give the cat a real food....you think chicken or cows are a cat's natural prey?? Make mouse mousse....or song-bird stew.....
If your cat is hungry it will eat whatever you leave accessible...if it doesn't eat then it is just plain not hungry!
