A guy I was in love with told me he couldn't be in a relationship a month before he left for college because he didn't want to get attatched and deal with the whole long distance thing.(I am going to the same college as him in a few months by the way). We still saw eachother before he left, and the night before he left for college he told me he loved me--most definitely not in a friendship kinda way. Do you think he was just trying to get into my pants one last time, or really meant it?

No way to tell on the data given. I suggest attempting to build the relationship a step at a time, and see what happens.

Sounds like he could be trying to get into your pants since he didnt want a relationship with you before then he goes and tells you he loves you. When you goto college find him and see where it takes you but dont ask him just let it flow and see if he is truly wanting to be with you there. Also don't go having sex with him if you become bf gf make him wait for a long time (a year should be long enough, but don't tell him he has to wait a year, just start being bf gf and make him wait tell him your saving yourself for marriage) and that way you will know for sure if he wants to be with you. If he tries to talk you into having sex or breaks up with you then you have your answer that he just wanted sex.

according to my experiance the guy is not in love with u.this could be easily juged by the way he talks to you.relations are not broken at any cost.so how could he think that distance will seperate u from him.try moving on some guys are like that they just want to get in to pants and enjoy their lives by running others.
and nextime be carefull choosing your solemate

i'd have to lean more towards he wanted in your jockies for the most part. as for saying that he loves you, 'love' can mean so many different things. if he was 'in love', you would not have to ask the question that you asked. understand ?

don't bother for him,he's just trying to get you on an emotional high & then get into your pants.even if you are in the same college as he is,just don't bother yourself over his actions & DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH HIM.because he just wants to use you & dispose you off.

GOOD LUCK
