how do I find IC Datasheets?

I have a bunch of IC compnents scavenged from various electronics and I need to find the datasheets for those components. even the manufactuer doesn't have datasheets for some of them!

I use either:
http://www.datasheetarchive.com/
http://www.chipdocs.com/
I used to use the IC master, but they've gone to subscription only.
